Portor’s MC Series whips are pre-assembled and constructed of a flexible steel that is 6ft. in length and consists of 5 or 6 wires. The standard 3/8” flexible metal conduit includes 6” wire ends and die cast screw in connectors for a solid connection. The whip utilizes color coded wiring for quick and easy installations on site which results in fewer mishaps. Color coded wiring are to be used in fixtures as follows: power and lighting wires (green, black, white) and ballast / fixture controls (purple, gray). Portor MC series whips are UL listed and comply with all 2017 NEC, 348 guidelines.
